We are pleased to introduce you to Helen Hamann, a native of Peru, and internationally known knitwear designer and alpaca enthusiast whose designs have been featured in fashion magazines, mail-order catalogs, on television, and in Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales. Her new book, Andean Inspired Knits releasing in September will introduce us to her modern collection of designs in soft alpaca.
When Interweave Press called us and said they were getting ready to promote Helen Hamann’s new book and how excited they were about it, that was good enough for us. When talking with Helen, we were even more impressed with her knowledge of alpaca and knitwear design. Here’s a workshop that will teach you the tricks of a master knitter whose designs are sought the world over. Helen’s Short Row Shaping techniques are completely new and fascinating and will open new ideas for shaping to you. This workshop is our treat to the knitter who is looking for inspiration and innovation and beautiful designs for luxury alpaca yarn.
We will have a trunk show from the book and pre-release copies of Andean Inspired Knits. Learn Helen’s innovative techniques and shortcuts before her book is out! Helen’s workshop targets skilled knitters wanting to learn new techniques using alpaca, one of our favorite fibers.
